In December, I headed to Shoreditch, London, to check out the PUMA CELL LAB Event which was being held in conjunction with Concept Kicks. Upon entry to the event, we were given name badges and lab coats, and split into two groups.
Following a brief introduction from the PUMA team about CELL, and how the technology is going to be utilised going forward, we were then taken through into the CELL LAB where we got the opportunity to deconstruct and reconstruct the CELL Endura and CELL Venom.
Sadly, time was limited so rather than spending time using a stitch picker and removing panels, we just got a bit handsy with a knife and started cutting up the mesh and inner lining to create some hideous looking shoe that kind of looks like a love child between PUMA and Visvim... if you have terrible eyesight, that is.
Once the knives, scissors, and stitch pickers had been put down to stop us butchering any other PUMA CELL styles, we checked out the 3D printing station which was printing mini versions of the CELL Venom.
Rounding off the night, Patty & Bun were on hand to provide some food for the guests complimented by cocktails and music. Thanks to PUMA for having us, and keep an eye out for the PUMA CELL Venom which is set to drop with us on December 6th.
