A couple of weeks have passed since the fifteenth instalment of Crepe City, and as always the Crepe City team absolutely killed the event. This was my eighth Crepe City event and all eight have been located at the Truman Brewery which is just off Brick Lane in London's Shoreditch.
Each event seems to get bigger and bigger with Crepe City utilising more rooms than ever, but CC15 finally saw the return of the large room upstairs, a 22,000 sq ft room which was last seen at CC11.
It didn't just stop at that room though, as the other rooms upstairs - T2, T3, T4, and T5, were also absolutely packed to the brim with trainers, streetwear, accessories, vintage clothing, customisers, sneaker cleaners, and much much more.
This event was a little different for me though, as rather than just taking some pictures and socialising, Hanon Shop and Diadora had come together to launch our third collaboration on the Diadora B.Elite which was limited to only 50 pairs, with 30 of them being made for sale exclusively at Crepe City, and the other 20 being for friends and family.
A real testament to the Crepe City event itself, the team who are behind it, and just how far they've come that they have stores and brands dropping such low quantity collaborations at their events.

I was in London filming and attending the New Balance x Grenson launch not too long ago, and the event in which the filming was for took place last Thursday at Shoreditch Studios. Foot Locker hosted their #hottestmonth event where people from across Europe and further afield attended the event to check out some upcoming products which would be in Foot Locker stores in the very near future.
First off, you're probably wondering about the outcome of that filming, right? Well check it below.
Along with plenty of new products on show, there were plenty of guest appearances, such as Mista Jam on the decks all day, Brad Hall doing a live unboxing, Bonkaz performing a couple of tracks to close the event, as well as plenty of Europe's "sneaker elite" if you went to call them that.
Steve Bryden had a crazy display of Nike TN's in one room, while the Crepe City lads Morgan and Ron were taking people through some upcoming men's releases, and the ladies weren't left out either, as Kitty Cowell and Juice Gee had that section covered all day! Myself and Rob were also present as NB Gallery on behalf of New Balance to support the upcoming release of their New Balance 420 colourways and the New Balance 1550 debut. As well as all those guys, plenty of other familiar faces and good friends rolled through, grabbed a beer, and chatted until it was time to head to the o2 to watch Orlando Magic vs Toronto Raptors, a great event for sure!.
Sadly, I had work the next day so couldn't attend the basketball, but Foot Locker nailed the event, and like always, great to see friends and meet new people. Big shout to Katy and Jamie at New Balance for all their support!

Warsaw's edition of Sneakerness was definitely the perfect event to pop my Sneakerness cherry, and a big shout out to all the great people who worked tirelessly to pull off the third Sneakerness in Warsaw. Although the Warsaw edition isn't the biggest out of all the Sneakerness events, it certainly had all bases covered, whether that was from shoes for sale such as recent releases, collaborations, vintage pairs, or the combination of good music, free entry, and even the cookies & cream ice cream which was on offer, all the necessary boxes were checked.
I spoke with many of the guys about how the "culture" compared to other places in Europe, and they certainly feel that in Poland, it isn't as big as somewhere like the UK or Germany, but it is definitely on the rise, and in the next few years, I'm sure it will reach new heights.
First off, before I even get into the shoes, let's take a moment to look at the venue, because this place is pretty spectacular.
The Palace of Culture and Science (or in Polish: Pałac Kultury i Nauki), is the tallest building in Poland and the eighth tallest building in the European Union, standing at a whopping 758ft tall.
The event was held within a relatively small room inside the Palace, but I think it was the perfect fit for sure, and created a great vibe across both days. It was good to go to a trainer event and either not be able to hear yourself talk because of the over the top loud music, or not have enough space to even lift your arms from your sides.
Entering the event after paying absolutely nothing due to the free admission (definitely a nice touch), and getting some more freebies, you were greeted with Crep Protect, who had a cleaning booth setup, with Puma on the right hand side displaying some new models.
The layout of the room had brands and stores around the outside in small sort of alcove areas, with the private sellers located in the middle, which was extremely easy to navigate. The Warsaw edition saw brands like Reebok who were focussing on their collaboration with Maison Kitsuné, and also New Balance, who had a spectacular presentation of the "Real Ale Pack" and "Napes Pack". The New Balance presentation was obviously the star of the show for me.
There was also DC Shoes, Supra and Etnies, as well as stores such as Sneakers by Distance, Worldbox, Dots, Sneaker Studio and Lithuanian based SIL, who all brought something unique to the event.
All credit to the event organisers, the brands, the stores, the private sellers, and everyone who passed through that door on Saturday and Sunday, the event would not have been as successful as it was without all those guys, and extremely proud to see my good friend's rewarded with such a great event.
Also, big shout to all those who turned out for that crazy afterparty, a night to remember in Warsaw!
Up next for Reebok is the Ventilator, introduced in 1990 as an athletic shoe which had a lightweight upper with vented side panels for breathability. The Ventilator is a popular model for Reebok and this year, it's 25th anniversary year, we see it get the collaboration treatment from world renowned boutiques such Extra Butter, SNS, 24 Kilates and now, hanon shop of Aberdeen, Scotland.
If you haven't already noticed, hanon shop pride themselves on their Scottish roots, and it features heavily on many of their collaborative efforts, and this edition of the Reebok Ventilator is no different. This time around, inspiration for this shoe comes from the Scottish warrior-king, Robert the Bruce, who lived from 1274 until 1329, and reigned as King of Scots between the years of 1306-1329. Robert the Bruce is famously known for leading Scotland during the Wars of Independence against England, and succeeding in defeating the English to regain Scotland's place as an independent nation.
There is a famous legend about Robert the Bruce and a spider, and it is said that in the early days of his reign, while he was on the run from the English, he was driven into exile and so sought refuge in a cave where he say and watched a spider try to spin a web. Time and time again, the spider would fail, but then climb slowly back up to try again, and this is where the worldwide recognised phrase "If at first you don't succeed - try try again" comes from. Finally, the spider succeeded in spinning a web, and Bruce was inspired by this spider, and took this phrase into battle, defeating the English at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.
The Reebok Ventilator has a green and mint coloured upper, that gives a nod to the Scottish bills, and the hits of purple on the shoe point towards the moss that is often found on the stone fences seen across the country. There is some webbing on the footbed and is used as a direct connection to the spider from the famous tales, and there is also a spider embossed on the left heel, with the hanon flame logo on the right heel.
The hanon shop x Reebok Ventilator 'Robert the Bruce' will be available in online at hanon shop on the 18th of April at 00:01, with a retail price of £109.

The collaborations have been coming thick and fast all year, and with the year coming to a close, they don't seem to be slowing down at all. A month on from hanon shop in Aberdeen's last collaboration comes the second instalment of the '3 Castles', and their third collaboration with Reebok.

There's little worse than queuing for hours upon end, thrown in the month of December and the city of Aberdeen, and we have ourselves a bit of a hellish morning. As expected, not even a bit of cold and rain can deter all those who turned out for the release with jackets, jumpers, gloves and hats a plenty, braving the near zero temperatures.
The GL6000 was extremely well received, apart from the biggest talking point of the day which just happened to be the sizing, with the majority of punters going at least a full size down, if not more. I bottled the ideal of a full size down since my feet are already small enough, wearing a UK 6 risked some unpleasant comments from my better half!
Along with the Reebok, there was also the highly anticipated Adidas EQT collaborations with both Highs and Lows of Australia, and Solebox of Berlin, which flew out the door. Two extremely well executed shoes and some of the best make-ups that the Adidas EQT range has had to offer all year.

Following on from the Reebok Classic Leather 'Leopards' edition from Summer 2013, Saturday 6th September 2014 saw the release of the next instalment; the Reebok Classic Leather '3 Castles'.
The Reebok Certified Network programme has been making some big moves recently, with some huge releases over the past year, and although it was initially very well received, it has been increasing even more in popularity since the first drop. Around 30+ people queuing on another early morning outside hanon shop, with punters waiting for either the Reebok '3 Castles' or the Le Coq Sportif LCS R1000 x HAL 'Swan Pack', which happened to coincide with the hanon collaboration release, and some even looking to bag both.
The '3 Castles' design draws inspiration from the coat of arms of Aberdeen, the same famous coat of arms that the leopards appear in, a crest which dates back to the times of Robert The Bruce. The shoe is decked out in plush grey pig suede, with lawn green overlays, and a red woven tongue label and heel tab. When the images of the shoe released, some used the well known phrase "red and green should never be seen", and even a couple said that it reminded them of a Christmas tree, maybe a little, but these colours work when done correctly, and this shoe looks great!
To complement the clean colourway, we see some perforation on the suede toe box, and a granite speckled collar lining, giving a nod to Aberdeen's nickname, the 'Granite City'. As always, hanon kill it with the branding, and their fire logo appears embossed on the left heel, whilst the Reebok Certified logo appears on the right heel. Unfortunately, no dust bag or t-shirt this time around, just two sets of laces - one tonal, one white.
As always, it's great to spend some time chatting with friends and regulars, and props to the hanon shop team once again for a clean collaboration and a smooth release day!
