Leaving from Berlin, again by train, we travelled to Prague in the Czech Republic, which was a much more pleasant train journey than from Gdansk to Berlin, but I guess you come to expect that from the German's, they're pretty damn good at that sort of thing. We weren't planning on making this into a thing, but after these train journeys and what not, we were super lazy when it came to finding our way to our accomodation via public transport so into a taxi we went!Read More
Emma's car needed to go into the garage for some warranty recall thing, and the garage is in Elgin which is a little over an hour away from Aberdeen, so it called for an early start on Saturday, and I wasn't best pleased with that.
However, after all the garage formalities and stuff were over, I was in a bit of a better mood because Emma suggested that we take the long tourist route home and that meant that I got to swing past some of my favourite spots along that route back to Aberdeen.Read More
It was absolutely pouring down one Sunday not too long ago, when I decided to go in a little mood because I was sick to death of the rain, and just wanted to go outside and explore for a change.
So I dragged Emma out to New Slains Castle to inevitably get soaked and battered with the gale force winds, but what else you gonna do on a Sunday, right?Read More
I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to head to Paris for HANON and with Le Coq Sportif to attend the Le Coq Sportif x LOOK Cycle Event, which was held at the Vélodrome de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.Read More
We arrived into Berlin a little bit before 2pm, and then just hopped into a taxi and headed to where we were staying for the next few days - The Circus Hostel, in Berlin's Mitte district. There's nothing worse than travelling for a long-ish period of time and then have to drag luggage around public transport and then unfamiliar streets in search of your accomodation.Read More
If you're from Scotland, then there's a chance that you've probably drove the A90 between Dundee and Perth and maybe you've noticed, or maybe you haven't, but right before you go cross the Friarton Bridge over the River Tay heading southbound, Kinnoull Hill is on your right with it's tower sat atop right on the edge.
Well, every single time we drive past, we always say how we want to go up there, and finally, we done just that!Read More
There is absolutely no way that I am leaving it until mid-September to go away on holiday, I have never ever looked forward to a holiday so much in my life, long awaited indeed.
Much like our trip to Italy last year, we started off by booking flights (we booked these at the start of the year which made the wait until September even worse!), and to try and make things a little cheaper, we decided to try work some route out using direct flights to and from Aberdeen.
Wizz Air started doing direct flights to Gdansk and Warsaw earlier this year, and I had visited friends in Poland last year, and Emma wasn't able to make it, so we figured that was a good enough place to start!Read More
Mill of Nethermill is basically an area with some holiday homes near Pennan, but there's a lovely rocky beach situated in a sheltered part of the coast, so we stopped off here to have a wander, climb some rocks, watch seals, get scared by an otter pup, and take some pics.Read More
We actually visited Craigellachie Bridge last year, and I thought I had done a blog post on it, I can even remember writing it, but apparently I never, maybe I deleted it or something, so let's just consider this the do-over!Read More
For our HANON x Diadora V7000 "Inter City" collaboration the other month, and with it being inspired by rail travel, I dragged Emma out one night to explore the dark and dingey tunnels and car parks around Aberdeen's train station.Read More
